Why do you think Jesus is good news?

Jesus is radically, ridiculously, and sometimes offensively good.

In the Bible, Matthew chapter 5, Jesus taught us...

When you are at the end of your rope,

Jesus gives you a completely new lease on life.

When you feel like you’ve lost everything that matters,

Jesus scoops you up in your pain and counts your tears as treasures.

When your ego gets hurt and you realize the hustle culture is going to kill you,

Jesus teaches you how to embrace simplicity and start again, treasuring the things you do have.

When you crave justice and for what is wrong to be made right,

Jesus asks for you to bring your ache to Him for healing and transforms you into a change agent for good.

When you need help inspecting your internal world to deal with those traumas and childhood wounds,

Jesus shows you how to turn the light on inside and doesn’t leave you in the pain.

When you're done with a doormat peace that is really just brushing things under the rug,

Jesus gives you everything you need to get free and become safe like a child in trusting arms again.

When people trash you online or pick you apart with negative words,

Jesus is there using gold paint glue on shattered porcelain to make something more beautiful than it was before.

Jesus is our "WHY",

our Good News is the love story He’s been writing for all of us for all of time.

What is your agenda?

We - the Rock Family - are in an introspective season because we are celebrating a big anniversary. Our church has been in Huntsville for 25 years and as we came up on this huge milestone, we wanted to carry out some careful, intentional space to get back to the work we’ve been called to: to love and serve people in our city with the GOOD NEWS of Jesus.

We decided to pick 25 acts of love for people in our city who deserve to be thanked and appreciated. Nothing in exchange. We just want to honor you, and let you know how grateful we are for the ways you’ve made our city so bright.

How do I find Good News for my personal struggle?

If there is Good News you have been waiting on, sounds like the perfect time to bring that need to Jesus in prayer. We would love to pray with you and believe in faith for God to intervene and bring strength and hope where you need it.

Where can I hear Good News in person?

We would love to meet you in person and invite you to join us for our weekly gathering. We meet every Sunday morning to worship the giver of Good News, grow in His ways, and create community. If you let us know when you're coming, we will meet you outside and save you a seat!
